Matt Murray is a Dora Award–nominated book writer, lyricist, and playwright. Musical credits include: Maggie (co-book, co-music, co-lyric), which premiered at Theatre Aquarius, co-produced with the Charlottetown Festival. Matt wrote six Ross Petty Holiday Pantomimes - Peter's Final Flight!, Lil Red Robin Hood, The Wizard of Oz, and A Christmas Carol, all at Toronto’s Elgin and Winter Garden Theatres, as well as two digital productions: There's No Place Like Home for the Holidays and Alice in Winterland. Matt also wrote the Canadian Stage Company’s premiere holiday panto, a brand-new adaptation of The Wizard of Oz, in association with Ross Petty Productions. He is set to write this year’s take on Robin Hood!
Plays include: Myth Of The Ostrich; Remember, Maggy? (with Carol Anne Murray); and The Time Capsule (formerly Chronicles of Sarnia), which premiered at the Blyth Festival and is set to open Theatre Aquarius’ 2025 season.
