Michael Melski is an award-winning writer, director and producer of feature films, as well as a published playwright whose work has been produced across Canada and internationally. His Merritt and Dora-nominated Hockey Mom, Hockey Dad was a hit at Toronto's Factory Theatre, named one of the Top Ten Plays of The Year by the Toronto Star and was a hit at Neptune Theatre in Halifax where it was also named one of the Top 10 Productions of the Year. Hockey Mom, Hockey Dad as had over 50 professional productions at main stages across the nation, as well as Boston and Minneapolis, and has toured Canada twice. Michael’s other plays include The Fly Fisher's Companion which has also been produced across the country, as well as Joyride, Miles from Home, and Creepy and Little Manson. Most recently, The Fly Fisher's Companion was nominated for 3 Merritt awards, produced by Theatre Baddeck, and Hockey Mom, Hockey Dad continues its tour of Scandinavia, produced by the National Theatre of Sweden.
