A Christmas Carol

An adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic novella, by Geoffrey Simon Brown

Christmas Eve, 1843. Marley is as dead as a doornail.

Scrooge is forced to confront the impact of his life as he follows the spirits of Christmas past, present and future through his city on a cold winter’s night.

As timeless as it is fresh; a faithful rendition of a beloved story and a message of connection in an increasingly individualized world.

★★★★

"Theatre Calgary has pulled out all the stops and spared no expense or talent to create its most spectacular A Christmas Carol in 33 years...None of these wonderful effects and frivolity would matter a wit if they didn’t have a strong script to hold it all together and that is what Geoffrey Simon Brown has provided in his adaptation of Charles Dickens’ beloved novella. The action moves swiftly and smoothly from scene to scene and Brown has made certain there are moments of pathos and introspection to balance the humour and spectacle."
