What does it mean to be real when your life is written in lines of code?

Max is a brilliant tech prodigy destined for greatness, whose life is upended by one cryptic message. What begins as a quest to uncover the truth spirals into a pulse-pounding adventure that forces Max to face the dark cloud of technology overtaking his humanity – and the world as he knows it.

Production History

In Real Life was commissioned by The Musical Stage Company in 2018 as part of the Aubrey & Marla Dan Fund for New Musicals. It was initially developed at the Canadian Music Theatre Project, Sheridan College.

In Real Life will premiere at Sheridan College on March 31, 2026.
