A musical about family and found family and how we need both

Almost A Full Moon

By Charlotte Corbeil-Coleman & Hawksley Workman

Adapted from the beloved Christmas album by Canadian singer/songwriter Hawksley Workman, this beautiful holiday musical follows three storylines that chase in and out of different ages of Christmas, love, and family, winding together in an incredible story. The musical jumps through time to see how three generations of one family have all had to overcome their own struggles to find each other. Marie-Ève, Reuben and Sébastien all search for love and family against the backdrop of WWII. Lewis, a musician and draft dodger, meets Clementine at a Montreal diner in 1972, and their deep but fleeting conversation inspires him to write a hit love song called ‘Claire Fontaine.’ Years later he uses the song’s popularity to try and search for Clementine. In 1994, a young boy, Philip, meets a young girl, Tala who’s just immigrated to Canada after her home was destroyed by a Typhoon in the Philippines. Philip does everything he can to convince Tala that snow is cool and that magic is real. Almost a Full Moon is a thrilling holiday musical that celebrates how families are found and made.
