Peter Pasyk

Director

Peter is an acclaimed theatre and film director, working in Canada and Poland. He has worked with Canada’s leading theatre companies including Stratford Festival, Tarragon Theatre, Soulpepper, Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, Alberta Theatre Projects, and Canadian Stage. In 2022, Peter directed the flagship production of Hamlet at the Stratford Festival. He also directed the sold-out and critically acclaimed 2023 Stratford Festival production of Love’s Labour’s Lost. Peter has directed several world premières including Jordan Tannahill’s Late Company. Peter’s Dora-nominated productions include The Nether, Killer Joe, Dying City, When the World Was Green and The Jones Boy. Most recently Peter directed The Seafarer starring Paul Gross at Alberta Theatre Projects. As a filmmaker, Peter co-wrote one of Poland’s highest grossing feature films: Planeta Singli (Planet Single), which launched a film and TV franchise. He also directed the pilot of a new TV comedy series, Simon and Magda for Poland’s Polsat network. His most recent short film The Understudy has played over a dozen international film festivals and has won multiple awards. Peter speaks English and Polish.
